- ✓ Keep your design recognizable as a Knightibranch.

- ✓ Use mutations for uncommon features.
- ✓ No NSFW submissions.
- ✓ Only submit artwork you own or have permission to use.
- ✓ Keep references clear and easy to read.
- ✓ When in doubt, ask a moderator!
Core Traits
Every Knightibranch must include the required Core Traits unless they have been altered or removed through an approved mutation.
Visible Eye Stalks
Eye stalks are one of the defining features of the species and should always remain visible unless an approved mutation specifically changes or removes them.
Clean References
Clothing, props, stickers, accessories, effects, and other decorations are completely welcome. However, every submission must also include a clean reference showing the Knightibranch without those additions.
Species Recognition
Your design should still be immediately recognizable as a Knightibranch. Even highly customized designs should retain the defining appearance of the species.
Canon-Inspired Designs
You are welcome to create Knightibranch versions of characters from existing games, shows, books, or other media. However, they should be redesigned as Knightibranchs rather than simply wearing a shell or helmet.
Mutations
Features not listed as common traits require the appropriate mutation. If you're unsure whether something requires a mutation, please check the Mutation Guide or ask a moderator before submitting your design.
View Mutation Guide →NSFW Content
Explicit or NSFW artwork may not be uploaded to the website or submitted for approval. Please keep all public artwork suitable for the community.
Artwork Ownership
Only submit artwork that you created yourself or have permission to use. Traced or stolen artwork will not be approved.
Clear References
Reference sheets should clearly display your character's design. Extremely blurry, tiny, or heavily obscured references may be returned for revision before approval.
Need Help?
If you're ever unsure whether a design follows the rules or requires a mutation, don't hesitate to ask! We'd much rather answer a question before you finish than ask you to redesign your character later.
